The seven Orleans Parish Assessors have specific requirements to qualify you for the Homestead Exemption. To file for your Homestead Exemption, you may be required to provide proof that you reside in the purchased property. We recommend that you contact the Assessor for your district for full instructions. You must renew your Homestead exemption every year. Ask you Assessor to provide renewal information.
